I found a new sort of pain this morning. I've been wearing my iPod inside my jacket, clipping the little iPod remote to my shirt, and wearing the headphones on the train. Today when I got to work, I got to my desk still wearing the headphones, unplugged the headphone jack, and took off my jacket. As I took off the jacket, the sweater-jacket static crackled and discharged ... through the headphones, into my ears.  Dozens of little crackles of static, all going through the headphones, some oscillating the speaker and some just zapping my ears.

OW.

I've never felt that before.

(I wonder whether I could use this to keep old man ear hair under control...)
